Francoise Adan MD, ABIHM

Dr. Adan is the Medical Director for the University Hospitals Connor Integrative Health Network and the recipient of the Christopher M. & Sara H. Connor Master Clinician in Integrative Health. Under her skilled leadership, Dr. Adan is successfully directing a system-wide initiative where state-of-the-art medical care is blended with innovative, evidence-based therapies and services to bring Optimal Health to all patients, Body, Mind and Spirit.
Dr. Adan trained as a family medicine physician and psychiatrist and is board certified in holistic and integrative medicine. She is also an assistant professor at Case Western University Medical School.
Considering herself an “eternal student”, Dr. Adan believes her patients and students are some of her best teachers. She has witnessed and been impacted by the resilience of thousands of patients and clients during her career, never ceasing to be amazed at the courage individuals possess to transform their own lives.
In her personal life, she is a dancer, downhill skier and gourmet cook. Her children are her treasure.
Sharon S. Boose
Sharon has been actively involved on the forefront of employer health and wellness for over 20 years. Sharon is currently the Sales Director for LiveHealth Online, Anthem’s telehealth solution, which offers medical, behavioral health and women’s health services to over 24 million members of Anthem’s affiliated health plans. She serves as the subject matter expert for telehealth, supporting Anthem’s sales teams, consultants and labor & trust markets across the country. Her passion for the health care industry is reflective in her strategic approach; helping clients shape their benefit offerings and define their health and wellness culture to effectively manage costs. Her experiences have allowed her to collaborate with local and Fortune 500 companies supporting Anthem’s goal of improving the lives of the communities it serves. Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from Ohio University and lives with her husband Brian in Atlanta, GA.
Heather E. Gavras, MPH, RD, LDN
Senior Program Manager, Workplace Health
American Heart Association
As Senior Program Manager of Workplace Health at the American Heart Association, Heather is responsible for executing strategic plans to increase the market presence of AHA’s workplace health resources and services. She also acts as the liaison between our field staff and national Workplace Health Solutions team, which includes training, cultivating new partners and providing feedback on implementation strategies.
With more than over 20 years’ experience in public health, nutrition education and community planning, she’s held a range of positions at the American Heart Association. She’s established long-standing relationships with the Cook County Department of Public Health and the Illinois Public Health Institute as well as worked with national sponsors including Aramark, Aetna and Medtronic. She earned her BS in Consumer Health Sciences from Miami University in Ohio. After completing her dietetic internship, she began her career as a clinical dietitian at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. She also holds a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Associate Vice President, Associate Wellbeing and Safety
Kathleen Herath oversees Nationwide’s Wellbeing and Safety activities for its 34,000 associates across the country. In this role, she is responsible for developing the company’s Integrated Health and Productivity strategy, Occupational Health Services and on-site clinics, Substance Free Workplace, Crisis Management, and Associate Safety.
She has 35 years of professional experience in the health care industry. The My Health program at Nationwide has been awarded numerous honors including the IBI Health Innovation Award, the American Heart Association’s Platinum Fit Friendly Employer Award and the prestigious C. Everett Koop National Health Award. In 2014, Nationwide was the first company in the country to receive the US Healthiest Health Lead Gold Medal for improving health outcomes.
Kathleen has become a frequently requested speaker within the health and productivity industry and has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars on various industry-related topics. She is active in community and national non-profit organizations including Ronald McDonald House, the Great Rivers Strategy Committee for the America Heart Association, and Equitas Health where she serves on the Board of Directors.
