You've heard Linda's story. Now take a moment to read the inspiring stories below. Real women with real stories are making it their mission to fight heart disease by speaking out. Their stories will inspire you to get informed with the facts and make a positive commitment to your heart health.
Lori Anne survived a rare heart condition that is usually only diagnosed post-mortem. She makes heart disease her mission for the betterment of women's lives. Katy suffered a massive heart attack at 28 and today wants women to know that heart disease doesn't have to equal death. She makes it her mission for women everywhere. After a frightening diagnosis from her son's doctor, Migdalia changed her family's eating and lifestyle habits to ensure they live a long, healthy life together. She makes it her mission for her boys and her mom.
Every day stories like those of Linda, Katy and Migdalia are made possible by the research and education provided by the American Heart Association. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and more women die of cardiovascular disease than the next five causes of death combined. But with your help, all this can be largely preventable.
