American Heart Association Go Red for Women Circle of Red Logo

Transforming the State of Women's Health Circle of Red is Go Red for Women’s annual giving society, made up of individuals who are in the fight against cardiovascular disease to win. The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement was created to dispel myths and raise awareness of heart disease and stroke being the No. 1 killer of women. Today, the Circle of Red stands at the forefront of Go Red for Women’s fight to save women’s lives. Located in communities throughout the United States, Circle of Red advocates use their influence, generosity, and ambassadorship to help increase awareness of the leading cause of death for women – cardiovascular disease.

Your Impact Through your support of Go Red for Women we will…

Marien Kaifesh ‘17 2025 Circle of Red Chair Retired Corporate HRIS Manager, Parker Hannifin Corporation Cor Vitae Member “I Go Red for my Mom who has A-fib. She had a mild stroke a few years ago and it was at that time we found that the cause was A-fib. She is now on Coumadin and doing really well, but she always keeps on top of her heart health. She takes her blood pressure religiously and if she's feeling a bit off, she uses an app on her cell phone to check her heart rhythm. It's amazing that an 83 year old is using technology like a cell phone to check on her heart, but it is so easy to do! Supporting the American Heart Association ensures breakthroughs like this are developed and that we are always reminded to know our 'numbers' and take care of our heart health.”
