Go Red For Women is crucial in driving local support to fund life saving research and to educate women.  Though we have made great strides in the advancement of women’s cardiovascular health, we still have far to go.  We need your help now so that our mothers, sisters, and daughters have a chance to fight this silent killer.  By sharing a commitment to speak up, spread the word and support the research, you can help save lives.

Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s solution to save women’s lives.  Too many women die each year because they are unaware that heart disease is their No. 1 killer.  One in three women suffers in silence – many not even realizing they are at risk, and almost one woman dies every minute of this largely preventable disease!  Go Red For Women believes that bringing women together empowers them to bring a voice to this silent killer to help save lives.

We Need Your Support Now!

In the ten years since Go Red For Women began, 627,000 women’s lives have been saved, which means that 330 fewer women are dying every day.

The Go Red For Women campaign has made some great strides in the fight against heart disease in the past ten years.  Registration for the Go Red movement has grown to 1.7 million, and awareness that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women has increased by 23%.

Through our efforts and your support, the Go Red For Women campaign has raised over $4 million (net) for women-focused research projects here in Cleveland.

However, we still need your help.  Last year at this time, there were 49 meritorious research applications related to women’s health, for a total of $6.5 million that went unfunded.  That is why we need your generous help now!

Please help us fund more research grants that could one day save the life of your sister, daughter, wife or friend.  Simply making an online gift will  help us fund critical medical research

The next life you save may be your own.
